    I'd been watching talks by Sri Harold Klemp on cable access TV. Then I attended a talk on Eckankar at a local bookstore and heard stories of how people were applying these teachings to their everyday lives. I'm happy to have found a religion I can apply to my everyday life.

    While participating in a workshop on the Spiritual Exercises of ECK (contemplative techniques), I closed my eyes to practice the exercise and was pleasantly surprised to find myself engulfed in a warm light. A sense of peace and contentment came over me.

    All the events listed under Local Events and Special Events are appropriate for anyone looking at the ECK teachings and looking for an event to attend for the first time. However, the ECK Worship Service is a good choice. You will experience singing HU, hear an uplifting message and lovely music, hear others share how divine spirit helps them in their everyday life, and have an opportunity to share your experience with divine spirit (God).

    What is the Illinois Satsang Society?
    The Illinois Satsang Society is the official Eckankar organization in the state of Illinois. It is registered with the state of Illinois as a chartered affiliate of Eckankar, Minneapolis, MN. It brings the ECK teachings to the state of Illinois through ECK centers, classes, worship services, and seminars.
